Spinach and Ricotta Cheese Ravioli
Ravioli is a very delicious Italian dish. It is home cooked Pasta usualy served with a Pasta sauce. Ravioli are typically square in shape though other shapes are also available. Here we are posting the recipe and method of preparing delicious Spinach and Ricotta Cheese Rivoli.
Ingredients: whole wheat flour or refined flour (maida), olive oil, spinach, ricotta cheese, salt, black pepper powder, milk, bell peppers, chopped garlic and onion, black olives and grated parmesean cheese for garnishing.
Combine the flour, salt, olive oil and water to make dough.
Cover it and refrigerate the dough.
For the filling: take a pan heat some olive oil and add garlic paste to it. Then add chopped spinach and ricotta cheese. Sauté the ingredients and season it with salt and pepper powder according to the taste.
Let the filling cool for a while.
Knead the dough on a floured surface and cut it in half. Roll out the dough. Use a ravioli cutter or any other round cutter to make the outer shell. Put the filling using a spoon in the pasta. Use your fingers to fold the pasta into a crescent shape. You can make the pasta in any shape you wish to and then cool it in the refrigerator.
For the sauce:
Heat the pan add olive oil to it, add chopped onions and garlic to it, add two spoonful refined flour Sauté the ingredients then add milk to it. Cook the sauce and make sure there is no lumps in it and season it with salt, pepper powder, oregano and chilli flakes.
Now heat the pan add some olive oil, Sauté sliced onions and bell peppers add the ravioli and white sauce to it. Mix it well carefully so that the pasta doesn't break.
Garnish it with grated parmesean cheese, black olives and basil leaves and serve it hot.
